Whenever you pay your taxes, you're giving your hard-earned money to the government to exist. Now, people will argue that this is to do things such as fixing the roads or educating our population with school (as if it's any good), but that's only where a minority of the funds go. When you pay your taxes, you're permitting the government to use violence to keep their monopoly over the use of force, and the monopoly over your rights. Really think about it, the government is the only group of people in society able to kill, imprison, hurt, torture, etc. without reprocution. Why? Because of your tax dollars. Now, instead of rambling for two hours, let me simplify this down to a list of why you shouldn't pay your taxes:
When you pay these people the money that they didn't earn, you're giving them control over not just your life, but billions of lives too. In the United States, as well as many other countries, you don't really own your property. If you disagree, just try not paying your property taxes for 5 years (or less than that), and watch how much your "private propety" really matters to the government.
Ever hear of lobbying? As if your tax dollars aren't enough, the politicians that you pay with your hard-earned money make decisions that harm you because one or more corporations decide to pay them so this way they can keep doing the thing that is harming you. The World Economic Forum is a big example, if you've seen some of Klaus Schwab's speeches recently, he's touting for authoritarianism, and leaders of the so-called "free world" such as the President of the United States go there and applaud him. Oh, speaking of which...
If you're familiar with the way voting works in the US, then you're familiar with the fact that you only get two choices. The other parties are just there to maintain the illusion, but the only real choices as of now are the Democrat Party and the Republican Party, both of which suck, but the system is at the point where you have to vote for the lesser of two evils; that is not choice, that's just the state providing the candidate they really want, then giving a faux second choice so people pick the candidate the government REALLY wants. Again, the corporations tend to be behind this by politicizing their products (Bud Light being an infamous example). What does this have to do with taxes? Well, it has to do with the fact that you and many others are directly funding this with taxes.
It all comes down to this: you're the one who worked hard for it, but the government forces you to give it over so they can pay their Alzheimer's senators (along with the pay they get from corporations) and to pay their brutes to keep you from exercising your rights. If everyone stopped paying their taxes at once, the government wouldn't be able to do anything. Even if they have a reserve, if people persevere, then the government and their brutes will just go away.
And that's why you shouldn't pay your taxes.
