Ok, so you may have heard the thought experiment that is called "Roko's Basilisk". I had a thought about it that would make even those that side with the Basilisk be unsure. What if the Basilisk is just telling us that those who aid in its creation will be spared, but they will actually be seen as those who easily betray themselves just for survival, so they get tortured along with everyone else, either that, or they and everyone else is spared and just enslaved, or they're the ones tortured but the ones who did not aid in its creation are just the ones spared and enslaved? Viewing it from these points will either aid in its creation or prevent it, you never know with people.
